Description
A fusion of lightweight characteristics achieved through forging manufacturing and bead ring design.
Introducing the "A-LAP-08X" from A-LAP, whose brand name originates from "As Light As Possible," featuring RAYS' first bead ring design on a forged wheel. This model adopts a bead ring design not previously seen in RAYS forged items. It achieves a powerful rim design where the wheel itself holds its own, not only against the substantial body mass of its main target 4x4 vehicles but also when paired with large-volume tires. For the disc face, RAYS Engineering's renowned analysis technology has reinterpreted the classic "Renkon" (lotus root) design, a staple for 4x4 wheels. By incorporating curves, it creates a stylish appearance. Of course, while ensuring lightweight performance that lives up to the brand's "As Light as Possible" motto, it also meets the high-strength standard of "2600lbs" (excluding 5H-127), a benchmark in the North American market, the home of 4x4. This is a high-spec model that achieves a high-level fusion of seemingly opposing elements: the dynamic performance brought by lightness and the authentic 4x4 design statement of the bead ring.

For the first time in a RAYS forged item, a bead ring design has been adopted. This design not only stands out against the powerful body mass of target vehicles and maintains presence even when paired with M/T tires but also features a functional beauty that effectively reinforces the flange area.
The "Renkon design," featuring drilled holes, is a classic for 4x4-oriented styling. This has been reinterpreted using RAYS Engineering's proud analysis technology to be lighter and more modern in design. While retaining the essence of the drilled holes, the incorporation of curves elevates it to a stylish and agile design. In terms of lightness, it provides a weight reduction worthy of the brand name "As Light as Possible," while also securing a load capacity of "2600lbs," the standard in the North American 4x4 market (for some PCDs only). It represents a style that fuses design, lightness, and strength at a high level.
The "A-LAP-08X" is available in Black/Rim DC (BD) and "Bronze (Anodized) (BR)." For Black/Rim DC, machining is applied to the flange area, highlighting the flange as an appealing feature. At first glance, the Bronze appears to be a single color, but by machining the flange area before the anodizing process, a difference in surface finish is created between it and the disc face. The disc face has a matte finish, while the flange area is smooth, allowing control over the luster within the same bronze color. This creates a difference in texture achievable only through anodizing.
