The 05X is designed with North American trends in mind, focusing on the globally popular pickup and off-road vehicles. By infusing traditional 5-spoke design with current RAYS forging technology, a modern design was created. Within the simple design, details are scattered throughout, such as wide spokes that don't lose to the large body mass of 4x4 vehicles, weightless holes at the spoke ends, and ribs on the center circle section. Of course, like the previously debuted 07X, it adopts the optimal combination of abundant rim depths and face cross-sections for each size. Furthermore, this 05X adopts a design that clears the 2600lbs load capacity, which is a must for North American needs. It has acquired strength that can withstand heavy-duty use even on heavy 4x4 vehicles.

Ribs arranged on the outer circumference of the center circle. By providing ribs at the transition from the disc top surface to the recess of the center circle, a more three-dimensional design is achieved. Even with a flat face, the presence of these ribs gives it a three-dimensional appearance.
For the 05X, several types of S~LL rims are combined with face cross-sections from FACE-1 to FACE-3, setting the optimal shape considering the calipers of the vehicle models targeted by that size. The setting aims for the most three-dimensional and impactful cross-section for that size.
Utilizing RAYS's patented A.M.T. (Advanced Machining Technology), the logo is expressed through machining. A method is adopted that layers the machined logo on a more advanced cutting surface than standard A.M.T. It is designed to show differences in appearance using the same aluminum base color.
