Revised pipe diameters downstream of the headers target improved low-speed torque and throttle response. Each cylinder bank has its own platinum metal catalytic converter. Polished SUS304 stainless-steel pipes provide strength, corrosion resistance and durability; the proprietary layout is designed to improve naturally aspirated exhaust efficiency, acceleration and response with a dry exhaust note.
Installation requires partial cutting of the engine undertray. The lowest pipes sit approximately 12 mm lower than the factory exhaust. The supplier states that the converters can meet inspection-level emissions values, but no emissions certificate is included. The vehicle may no longer meet the 50% reduction level under Japan's 2005 emissions standard. Additional heat wrapping may improve catalytic efficiency and T6 durability. Catalytic converter deterioration can reduce purification performance, as with factory converters; inspection compliance must then be restored. Purchase only with an understanding of these conditions.
