Defi-Link Meter ADVANCE BF gauges run as part of the ADVANCE system and require an ADVANCE Control Unit SE or ADVANCE Control Unit, sold separately. "BF" stands for Black Face: with the ignition off the dial is completely black and the scale is invisible; the moment the ignition comes on the illumination lights up and the figures and graduations are legible even in daylight.

The range covers seven gauges: boost / intake manifold pressure, oil pressure, fuel pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, exhaust gas temperature and a tachometer. Illumination is white, amber-red or blue — the colour is chosen at purchase and cannot be switched. Sizes are Φ60 mm and Φ80 mm (tachometer only). Up to seven gauges can be connected to one control unit.
