Appropriately balanced White Ester, organic molybdenum and alkyl naphthalene are incorporated for greater durability. White Ester contains nonpolar groups that protect metal surfaces to reduce friction and polar groups that act as a cushion between metal and oil inside the engine. It is uniformly blended to maximize its properties. Organic molybdenum is a highly effective friction modifier: molybdenum and sulfur compounds in the oil react chemically to form a film on contact surfaces. Alkyl naphthalene has high solvency and helps maximize additive effectiveness. Their combined effects can suppress aeration, which is more likely under high-load driving. Newly adopted metallocene PAO with a three-dimensional molecular structure enhances shear stability and oxidation stability. The formulation also addresses LSPI (low-speed pre-ignition) by appropriately balancing calcium-based detergent additives, which can cause LSPI, and magnesium-based additives that inhibit it.
