◆ Redefining the standard for intake tuning!

On Subaru vehicles, an exposed air cleaner can upset airflow measurement (Figure 1), leading to power and torque below factory levels (Figure 2), or knock that harms the engine and can cause damage in the worst case. For years, fitting an exposed air cleaner by itself has therefore been considered unsuitable for Subaru vehicles, necessitating ECU calibration on the actual car.

The ZERO/SPORTS Direct Flow System combines the Super Direct Flow Kit Subaru-specific exposed air cleaner and a dedicated ECU Airflow Correction Program for cost-effective, relatively inexpensive intake tuning.

◆ Experience gains in power, torque and response!

The Super Direct Flow Kit increases intake air volume and improves throttle response even under vacuum. The ECU Airflow Correction Program corrects this appropriately to improve boost buildup (Figure 3) and increase power, torque and response (Figure 4).

The figures below compare the factory setup and Direct Flow System, showing improved boost buildup at low rpm and increased power and torque across the range.

Speed limiter modification is included.

◆ Supports immobilizer-equipped vehicles

The Direct Flow System ECU is prepared by installing the dedicated Airflow Correction Program into the ECU already on the customer’s vehicle.

Using the factory ECU keeps the immobilizer functioning normally and allows continued use of the Select Monitor (Subaru diagnostic terminal).
