Designed specifically for Subaru vehicles. The coolant temperature range best suited to drawing out engine power is 70–80°C. To effectively suppress both overheating and overcooling, Cool Thermo opens at 71°C, 7°C below the factory thermostat. Circulating coolant cooled by the radiator earlier suppresses temperature increases and maintains the optimal coolant temperature range for EJ engines. It reduces engine stress, helps Subaru engines deliver their inherent performance, and protects the engine.
Use of Cool LLC is recommended when replacing the thermostat.

Specifications
Chassis/engine: Exclusively for EJ engines
Notes: Opening temperature 71°C. The thermostat is a valve between the engine and radiator. After engine startup it remains closed until the coolant reaches an appropriate temperature. To prevent overheating, it opens at a set coolant temperature and starts coolant exchange with the radiator (the Subaru factory thermostat opens at 78°C). Fitting a thermostat with a lower opening temperature starts circulation between the engine and radiator earlier to suppress coolant temperature increases.
