Foreign objects entering through the hood duct with driving airflow can crush and damage intercooler fins, reducing cooling efficiency and preventing the engine from delivering its intended performance. In some cases, this may cause inadequate boost and other problems.

This product places a screen with a 14 mm × 7 mm mesh in front of the intercooler to intercept foreign objects before they strike the fins. The mesh size is selected to minimize any reduction in cooling caused by fitting a screen in front of the intercooler.

It can also be installed together with Cool Action II, protecting the intercooler fins while retaining the cooling effect of Cool Action II.

Cannot prevent all foreign-object intrusion or impacts.
Be careful not to overtighten the supplied stays.
