STI Parts Key Charm (Flywheel)

The flywheel plays a role in stabilizing engine output and smoothing rotation. Motivated by STI's lightweight flywheel, this charm was crafted from a solid block of aluminum through processes including sketchwork design, rendering, and machining on processing equipment. The gear's unevenness is precisely reproduced, and the round holes add an interesting design element. When hung on the dedicated key charm hook, the flywheel rotates via a bearing incorporated into the joint part engraved with the STI logo. Though a small charm, it is crafted with attention to fine details, rivaling the real part. This product is entirely handled by the designer from design and planning to manufacturing, ensuring product creation remains true to the original concept from start to finish. Furthermore, the design is not merely a scaled-down version of the actual part's blueprint; it is stylized to enhance its appeal as a charm while retaining the part's inherent beauty. Through machining simulations, several prototypes were created to achieve an exquisite texture and beautiful design. The key charm can be used by hanging it on the dedicated key charm hook.
