FRP has black gelcoat; carbon uses black twill-weave carbon with clear gelcoat. Painting is additional. Gelcoat is the resin surface material; exposed black gelcoat can become dull and lose some durability. All painting uses two-component paint matched to the factory color code, but color differences can occur.
