Inheriting the design philosophy of the ZE40, the newly created VOLK RACING ZE40X aims to be the ultimate 4x4 wheel. It features spokes optimized for a vertical cross-section to handle high loads and an innovative center part reminiscent of off-road use. This design not only enhances aesthetics but also incorporates a shape that provides strength and rigidity through backside pocketing. Furthermore, connecting the spokes to the rim elevates its strength to the highest level, boasting performance capable of easily conquering gravel and rough roads. Additionally, weight reduction through machining achieves a balance with lightness, proving its racing origins. Beyond performance, it leaves no gaps in safety, meeting the JWL-T truck standard and RAYS' proprietary JWL+R criteria. The spoke ends retain the characteristic features of the ZE40, while the center part newly adopts a rounded dish design to emphasize a 4WD-like appearance. This design pursues functional beauty that combines the strength and rigidity to support a 4WD's stance with lightness.
The face is available in three types: F1 to F3. Designed with the low inset characteristic of 4WD vehicles in mind, it achieves a deep round shape even in F1. Additionally, newly designing the backside shape contributes to further weight reduction and increased rigidity.
Considering matching with white lettering, the rim end is kept plain, deliberately concentrating the machining design on the center part. All cutting is done using RAYS' patented A.M.T. machining technology.
