Description
The factory shock absorbers in STI Sport and GT/GT-H differ in damping and other characteristics, so each version uses an appropriate spring rate. STI SPORT is given a sportier setting matched to its electronically controlled dampers, while GT/GT-H uses a comfort-oriented setting focused on ride quality.
The dedicated STI Sport spring rates are 120% of factory rates (front 3.36 kgf/mm, rear 4.39 kgf/mm); GT/GT-H rates are 110% of factory rates (front 3.08 kgf/mm, rear 4.03 kgf/mm).
Low-rebound spring material is used to reduce small pitching motions on rough roads. The lowering amount is selected to maintain ride comfort and sufficient suspension travel.
